Ceramic coating is a silica-based polymer that is applied by hand and cures to form a protective layer that, when properly maintained, can be effective for several years. The advantages of ceramic coatings include protection from UV oxidation, protection from chemical etching, easy maintenance, and enhanced gloss.
Graphene is a one-atom-thick layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice. Graphene is the thinnest material known to man at one atom thick, and also incredibly strong - about 200 times stronger than steel.
Ceramic coating and graphene ceramic coating are both types of protective coatings for automotive surfaces, but they differ in their composition and properties. Here's a breakdown of the key differences between the two:
Graphene ceramic coatings, on the other hand, incorporate graphene into the formulation. Graphene is a two-dimensional carbon allotrope with exceptional strength, flexibility, and conductivity. It offers enhanced durability and performance compared to traditional ceramic coatings.
While ceramic coatings also provide good durability and hardness, graphene ceramic coatings offer an additional layer of strength and resilience.
When choosing between ceramic coating and graphene ceramic coating, it's essential to consider your specific needs, budget, and desired level of protection. While traditional ceramic coatings offer excellent protection, graphene ceramic coatings provide advanced durability, heat resistance.
In the simplest terms, graphene ceramic coatings are best described as evolutions of traditional ceramic coatings. Reduced graphene-oxide is combined with traditional ceramic coating technologies to further retrofit them with additional properties while utilizing the ceramic coating’s ability to bond graphene to the surface.
Graphene Ceramic Coating provides additional hydrophobicity, chemical durability, scratch and mar resistance, gloss, and slickness compared to a traditional ceramic coating. Graphene allows for the coating to be less prone to water spotting, in part due to a lower sliding angle for water droplets, with water evacuating at angles less than 10-15°.

Glad you asked! We offer maintenance detail club to keep your vehicle in its tip-top shape all year round. We specifically tailor our maintenance details with ceramic coated vehicles. We use dedicated car shampoos (with graphene boosters) and drying methods for your ceramic coated vehicle.
If you would like to tackle it yourself, we recommend absolutely no automated car washes. We recommend hand washing your vehicle whether it is ceramic coated or not.
Quick tips on maintaining your graphene ceramic coated vehicle.
1. Hand wash every 1-2 weeks if it is a daily driver.
2. Use dedicated car shampoos with "ceramic boosters" to keep the hydrophobicity at its peak.
3. If possible, air dry/ blow dry the vehicle over traditional towel drying.
If maintained properly, our graphene ceramic coatings will last minimum of 5 years, up to 9 years.
